It is a
genuinely great opportunity for us to gain an amazing experience of life in
university campus. As we are to take care of ourselves, we learn to be
independent and self-motivated, no longer are we babies taken care by our
parents. It has always been a dream of ours to visit such a prestigious
university. All students studying in Stanford University are gifted in a
variety of aspects, and are willing to pay full effort in achieving outstanding
academic performance, as well as social communicating skills. Being selected to
join this program and to be immersed in such a studious ambiance, it really
motivates us to participate whole-heartedly in all of the upcoming activities
and courses. We really lack experience in a lot of new subjects for example,
neuroscience and evolutionary biology. Attending these courses allows us to
explore the fascinating laws of nature, and makes it a once in a lifetime
experience which will benefit us for the rest of our lives.

We
started our first memorable day of the Stanford program by having lessons
about neuroscience and evolutionary biology. We are honored to be
taught by professors that are teaching at Stanford. Although we are only high
school students who lack knowledge in both subjects, the professors are all
very passionate and patient.
We had a blast in the scavenger hunt. Being stunned by the Spanish style architecture of
the Stanford campus, it was also fun to know more about the history and origin
of this university. In particular, the stained windows and paintings on the
walls of the memorial church left us the deepest impression. We look forward to
the activities ahead and to take a closer look at San Francisco.
