Day 11
Time is like a firing bullet, today is already the last day to have lessons in Stanford University. After breakfast, we walked to the Digital anatomy laboratory and visited the laboratories inside. For example, we had a chance to touch the organs of dead bodies like the brain, liver and the heart. We were amazed by the differences between a healthy lung and a smoker's lung. Although we had learned about the impacts of smoking on lungs from the Biology book, we were still shocked when we saw the real lungs. We are very sure that we will never smoke as we truly understand the consequence from the blackened smoker's lung.
After visiting the laboratory, we headed back to our dormitory and prepared for our final presentation. Then, we had a lesson on intuitive problem solving. The lesson was fun and interesting. It was the most interactive lesson we have ever had. To illustrate, we did many hands-on activities such as making lemonade, building lego walls, playing chess and so on. We have learned how to think simpler and in different aspects when we are stuck in different situations.
At night, we had a fabulous dinner which we had Chinese cuisine that we have been longing for. We also did our final presentation on what we have learned in Stanford in the past two weeks. Our group introduced to everyone the six elements to make a good decision. We hoped that everyone can know how to make a good decision and benefit themselves. Later, we had a s'more party around a fire pit. We even talked to some foreign students and had a great time.
