Day 9 (13/8/2014)

Today was one of the most fruitful days we had this week.
In the morning, we went on a field trip to Silicon Valley right after breakfast.  We first went to Google headquarters and took a few pictures there. Since areas open to the public only extended to a little into the entrance, we spent ten minutes or so there before we went back on the coach and headed off to the Computer History Museum. It’s unbelievable how much the world has created throughout history. All leads up to our tech-savvy lives today. The potential of our technology is truly endless.
In the afternoon, we went back to our lectures. This time, we had Business and Entrepreneurship. We learnt mainly about startups, which are beginning businesses, and how they work their way up. We were also exposed to various market structures and strategies. One important thing we learnt today, is that failure is necessary for every success in business. We also have to be bold about understanding our customers, so as to succeed in the market.
For our afternoon activity, we, in groups, worked on our final presentation (to be presented on Friday). Each group is doing a different topic, so we are really anxious to see what each of us has come up with!
After dinner, we did tie-dye and henna. Some of us haven’t tried these before so it was wonderful artistic experience for us. The best thing is, we get to bring our products home!
