8.14.2014 Day 10 Group 6

Intuition has always been a much-talked about but foreign concept to mankind. Our teacher, Gary Antonick, famous for prowling around the classroom, taught us about optical illusions and the unreliable IQ test. We did many exercises and our brains went into overdrive. The whole lesson was very energetic and lively as we were forced to do the Tuki Tuki (a dance where you say hoo-ha and tuki each other).

Our daily class schedule was disrupted by a short talk on application to Stanford University. The speaker is a transfer student so it is easier for him to describe the experience for us. We all went slack-jawed when we first heard about the tuition fees, thankfully,he soon informed us of different types of financial aid. It taught us a lot on application for universities and we are sure that it will greatly benefit us later in life when we make the decision to apply for school.

Our last session of Neuroscience went by smoothly and we started off the lesson by asking our teacher, Dr. Maral,an accomplished neuro-scientist about questions on sleep, memory and psychopathic tendencies. She answered all of our queries with great enthusiasm, detail and patience. She then progressed to discuss one of her more recent projects,it was a panel about the science behind superheros at Comic Con.Some of us were immensely jealous of her and also in awe at the detailed analysis of the super soldier serum and gamma radiation that created Captain America and The Incredible Hulk. We were very amused to know that the beaker in the background of the video is actually just dyed water, put there for cinematic purposes to make the lab look super legit.

Guess what we did for our recreational activity - we went to the shopping center again. Some of us were insanely tired out by all the dreaded shopping but we all had a great time since we learned a new game which was really entertaining.
