Day 6

Time flies - it's the sixth day of our Stanford trip. 

After breakfast, we took a coach and went to the San Francisco Zoo.  We stayed there for 3 hours and we saw various animals and creatures. For instance, we saw giraffes, penguins, a polar bear, tigers, koalas and so on. Some of them are even endangered. We were glad that they are protected by the zoo. The information board which illustrated the life cycle of koalas really interested us. We were surprised by the fact that the embryo of the koala will find its own way to the pouch of the mother koala.This zoo visit was definitely a great opportunity for us to learn and to appreciate the beauty of nature.

We had a special lunch which is a turkey sandwich in the coach. Then, we had an exciting afternoon! We arrived at Union Square for our favourite activity : shopping! The goods were much cheaper than in Hong Kong and we found some new brands such as Urban Outfitters that we've never seen before in Hong Kong. We shopped for about three hours and we were contented with the clothes that we bought!

Later, we went back to the University and had our dinner. Tonight, we had Chinese fried noodles and vegetables. We're blessed that we could taste some food from our country in the US.
