Group 4 DAY 4

Group 4
DAY 4 8-8-14

Today was really thrilling and interesting. In the morning we had a class on law and out of our expectation, it was really a compelling class. We learnt a lot about different types of law like civil, traffic, criminal and many more kinds of law. We also encountered different scenarios and different cases to solve. All of them were enthralling and stimulated our brains to think a lot with the use of our common senses. Finally, we did persuasive speeches against each other either to support or oppose passing a bill on the against of violent video games. The whole class participated really well.

In the afternoon, we had a class on artificial intelligence and the lecturer showed is her blog and many different types of video games and how her work is to study the games like us studying literature.

After that, we had a cultural exchange with all the international groups that were here in Stanford. For our performance, we did a Chinese Korean dance and some percussion performance, even though we learnt it within half an hour, it was still very fun and successful. We also had a Thai-style dinner and met some of the other students from different places. We met a group of people from Chilean. We played a bit of guitar and also talked about our different cultures and interests. It was really a great experience as we don't actually have the chance to meet up with people in other countries and it was entrancing. We do hope to have more opportunities like this, to make more new friends and to learn more from different people. Overall it was a well-spent and rewarding day.
