It took us two hours to travel from campus to
the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the scenery on our way to Monterey was fabulous.
There were horses roaming freely in a
big piece of grassland, farmers planting in fields, everyone is living a simple
and relaxing life. The Monterey Aquarium is gigantic! There is a big collection
of marine life like jellyfish, sea otters, penguins and sharks. However, out of
all sea creatures, the sea otters left us with the deepest impression. They
were just way too adorable with their fluffy short hands pressed on their
nostrils when they are gliding on the water surface. We left the aquarium and
wandered on the Cannery Row, it is located at the bay coast area. Therefore, we
could clearly see the wide ocean and the glittering reflections of sunlight
shining bright upon the sea. We then bought dipping dots ice-cream that waters
our mouth in this beautiful summer. After returning to campus, we had to pack
our bags to get ready for our flight tomorrow night. We would all miss Stanford
so badly. This program has broaden our mind and widen our vision, we would
never forget what Stanford has given us through this short but fruitful two
weeks.
