Many people in our group wants to be either pharmacists or doctors so the trip to the medical anatomy center was very beneficial for us. We first beheld the digital dissection table where doctors take CT scans and display them on the digital table so that they can see what is going on inside the body and what they can do to make the patient well again. Then, we went to experience some applications the academy has created for educational purposes. There was a very popular new invention called the Oculus Rift and the professors have developed a program where people can explore the insides of the ear and nose more closely. We then progressed onto the most exciting part of the entire tour- the part where we get to hold well preserved organs with our (glove covered hands). We got to hold nearly every part of the human body and it was truly a fascinating experience.
After the tour, we attended our Intuitive Thinking class (starting of course with a Tuki Tuki). Today,we made our own lemonade with water, citric acid and sugar. Most of our products were disgusting and many of us had to rush to the bathrooms to rinse out our mouths. We also learned that the most effective way is most of the time the simplest way and that we should always try to eliminate all other possibilities.
We had our presentations which we all think were very well-done and we enjoyed watching others and presenting them ourselves. Our group did a role play on DNA and genetic mutation, it was great fun and we will miss our classes greatly.
The s'mores were delicious, by the way. Would recommend this strange diabetes causing food, 10/10
