7/8/2014 Day3
On this sunny day, we had a class on intuition in the morning and we learnt about "imagining the future, critiquing the present" in the afternoon.

In the class of intuition, we learnt to solve problems using different approaches and that we can always use innovative methods to tackle difficulties instead of following the theoretical calculations. We also did tests on IQ and vision illusions. We found this very interesting as we got to think a lot and discover the errors that our eyes would make. Besides, we did an experiment on the effect on the rolling direction of the spool by pulling the string in different directions. Through this, we were able to explore the reasons in a much simpler way. We enjoyed this lesson very much and we all are excited for the lesson next week!

Lunch :p |
Dr. Gabriel K Wolfenstein lectured on the history of utopian and dystopian novels. He started by asking us why do we need to study History, and then he introduced the definitions of utopia and dystopian to us. He also listed out different authors such as Plato, Harold Perkins and Eric Hobsbawm. The lesson was very interesting and we were fascinated by utopias and dystopias.
Before dinner, we had an art and craft session. We had to draw two pictures about a place we want to visit in Stanford and any part of the world with a little paragraph.
