10/8/2014  Day6

 Today was really wonderful! We went to San Francisco, and visited the zoo and Union Square.

 Firstly, we visited the San Francisco Zoo. We were all very excited as we love animals very much. We started from the African Region and saw some giraffes.

 After that, we went to see the chimpanzees and monkeys. They made a lot of funny and loud sounds that we could hear from very far away.

The small monkeys are very cute!We headed to see the flamingos afterwards. Some flamingos were hatching their eggs and some were fighting.

 We left the area of the flamingos and headed to the most exciting part - The Cat Kingdom! There were tigers, snow leopard and lions. Someone in the zoo told us that the snow leopards are endangered. They have special patterns on their coat which are really cool! Moreover, there were also some penguins in that area. They are really adorable!

 Then, we went to visit the grizzly bears. The two bears are so cute! One of the bears made a 'troll face' and so we called her 'Troll Bear'.We also saw some kangaroos lying on the ground in a group. The scene was funny as they were lying in the same position.

 As we were running out of time, we rushed to the souvenir shop at the entrance. Each of us bought many things and some of us bought some stuffed toys! The visit to the zoo was really fun and memorable!

 In the afternoon, we went to Union Square for shopping. Before arriving, we all thought that it is just a spacious shopping mall rather than a shopping area. Since we were not familiar with the streets there, we tried hard to figure out how to go to the shops we would like to visit. We went to shops like Hollister, Converse, GAP, etc. They were all way bigger than those in Hong Kong and had a larger variety of choices of goods. We were so excited and we bought some T-shirts, hoodies and postcards. We would definitely want to visit there once more as it was a wonderful place. 

We are looking forward to tomorrow’s visit to the Stanford Shopping Centre! :)
